WILD SEEDS
Wild Seeds is the residency at the heart of Wild Horizon, where international circus, dance, and performance artists spend a week creating new site-specific work on the pier. During the festival, audiences encounter these brand-new performance experiments as pop-up shows, roaming performances, interactive encounters, and unexpected moments of spectacle throughout the waterfront.

The Boy and the Ball
Stephen Noonan / The Paper Boats
Sat, May 2 11:30am Sun, May 3 1:00pm

A show especially for early childhood comes to Philly all the way from Australia! In a quiet world, simply constructed from multiple cylinders of all shapes and sizes, we meet a very shy boy and witness how he makes a friend. This nonverbal performance is a wondrous tale of reassurance, joy, and connection…with a little magic. Exquisitely nuanced to engage very young audiences, the Boy & the Ball is storytelling wonder at its finest. Bring the family for a story about how one friend can become many.

Let's Jam Baby
Ninth Planet
Sat, May 2 10:00am, 2:00pm Sun, May 3 10:00am
.jpg&w=3840&q=75)
Come join the jam! Infants, crawlers, cruisers and early toddlers will enjoy live music, dance and play in a soft environment made just for them. Inside a high contrast black and white world, a trio of dancing clowns stumble upon an array of new shapes and colors inspired by the visual style of Henri Matisse. Scored by elegant live vocals created by Elle.Morris, Ninth Planet's interactive jam is a delightful introduction to live performance for babies, toddlers and their caregivers.

Rebel Arts Carnival
Rebel Arts Movement
Sat, May 2 12 - 5PM
.jpg&w=3840&q=75)
At the Rebel Carnival, youth take the lead! Can you master the challenges at all four stations? Join the Juggle N Jam station, led by students at James Rhoads school, or if you're feeling bouncy, find the Flight N Tumble station led by Greenberg students. Keep your eye out for youth-invented, youth-led circus games, or take a break at the Recharge N Reset station. These youth are the next generation of circus superstars and change-makers, who are ready to share their skills and excitement with participants of any age. Please note: all participants must complete and sign a liability waiver prior to participating.
